Academics at CCS

Inspired by a New Way of Learning

Clovis Christian Schools is jointly accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED (www.advanc-ed.org), which is a rigorous process that requires CCS to meet 11 standards, including a continuous improvement standard. We commit to providing rigorous core academic classes and challenging electives. CCS is not a textbook-driven school that allows a selected textbook adoption by grade level or teacher to determine student-learning goals. Instead, we follow the Virginia Standards of Learning that reflect rigor and cultivate analytical thinking. All instructional materials or resources are evaluated and then selected with the sole purpose of effectively implementing and staying true to our challenging student learning outcomes.

No doubt our students will leave CCS capable of navigating the complex problems of today. Whether your student is beginning their education journey in Pre-K or ending it as a senior in high school, we are committed to preparing your student for a lifetime of academic success.

Middle School

We give our students the best instructional care possible. Our middle school students, 6th through 8th grade, encounter classes that build on their foundations of math, science, language arts, writing, reading, and more.

High School

In high school, grades 9-12, our students are further challenged to think critically about the purpose and pursuit of learning, about the application of their lessons, and about their specific gifts and aspirations.

College & Career Readiness

Our students are uniquely prepared to enter into the college setting with a 100% 4-year high school graduation rate. Additionally, CCS ensures 100% of our seniors will receive at least one college scholarship. We have a four-year average of 71% of our students enrolling in a college or university after graduating from CCS. We understand that college is the next step for most of our students, which is why we are highly committed to preparing our students for the rigors of post-secondary education.

Many of our students begin their college journey before they graduate high school via dual/concurrent enrollment. CCS partners with Eastern New Mexico University and Clovis Community College to offer our students online and in-class college and university courses that will give them a headstart on their higher education goals. All of our sophomore students are required to take the Accuplacer, a college readiness exam, in preparation for any concurrent enrollment classes they would like to take in the future.
